Setting Up a B2B Company & Customer in Shopify Admin
In your Shopify Admin, navigate to Customers → Companies.
Click Add company and enter the business name (e.g. Acme Wholesale Corp).
Under Locations, add a location and assign Payment Terms: select Net 30.
Under Customer contacts, assign the authorized buyer's contact email (e.g. buyer@acmewholesale.com).
Automatic Sync: Net30 Guard automatically discovers newly created B2B companies via Shopify webhooks and initial company sync.

Configuring Credit Limits & Terms in Net30 Guard
Open Net30 Guard from the Shopify Admin Apps menu.
Navigate to the Companies page to see all wholesale accounts on the aging ledger.
Click Edit terms next to any company to set their specific credit policy:
Credit limit (USD): Set the maximum allowable open accounts receivable balance (e.g. $10,000).
Payment terms: Set net terms (e.g. net30).
Billing contact email: Enter the AP/finance contact for collections notices.
Pause collections emails: Toggle if you wish to pause automatic dunning for this account.
Click Save. The credit ledger and Shopify Metafields are updated in real time.

Activating Checkout Rule & Storefront Enforcement
Activate the Checkout Rule: In Shopify Admin, go to Settings → Checkout → Checkout rules. Ensure the Net30 Guard Checkout Credit Validation rule is turned ON. (Shopify requires Cart & Checkout Validation functions to be toggled on in store settings).
Log in as B2B Buyer: On your storefront, log in using the B2B customer contact created in Step 1.
Add Over-Limit Products to Cart: Add items exceeding the company's approved credit limit (e.g., $11,250 cart vs $10,000 credit limit).
Proceed to Checkout: Select Net 30 payment terms.
Order Blocked: The Net30 Guard Checkout Validation Function runs in WebAssembly and instantly blocks order placement with the message:
“This company has exceeded its credit limit. Contact your account rep.”
Important for Reviewers: In Shopify, all Cart & Checkout Validation functions deployed by apps require one-time activation in the merchant's admin under Settings → Checkout → Checkout rules.

Draft Order Enforcement & Logged Staff Override
Wholesale orders are often entered manually by sales reps as Draft Orders in Shopify Admin.
When creating a Draft Order for an over-limit company, the Net30 Guard Admin Block displays a prominent red warning:
“Acme Wholesale Corp is over credit limit ($15,000 / $10,000 max). Over 30 days past due.”
If management approves a one-time shipment, the sales rep uses the Check credit status action:
They enter an authorized override note (e.g., “Approved by AR Manager for partial deposit”).
The override is securely signed, permanently audited, and logged in the safety-net records.
The Net30 Guard Aging Ledger groups invoices into standard AR aging buckets: Current, 30+ Days, 60+ Days, and 90+ Days.
When an invoice transitions to 31+ days overdue, Net30 Guard sends a polite automated reminder to the billing contact with CC to the internal AR owner.
When payment is marked in Shopify (orders/paid), invoices are automatically resolved and credit availability is restored immediately.
